German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz is preparing to commence leasing vehicles to consumers in the Indian market by the end of this year. No other luxury car maker in the country currently offers vehicles on lease directly to customers.
Cars with left-hand-drive option would be introduced globally later this year in Europe.
German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz witnessed the best-ever first quarter this year since it started operations in India 15 years ago.
Instead, the company wants to just focus on sales.
"The prices of all Mercedes-Benz models will be revised upwards effective May 1, 2011 for the Indian market," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Peter Honegg said in a statement.
